In the 21st century, technology plays an essential part in our lives. Now, a simple click of a mouse can lead to violations of women’s and girls’ human rights. Exploiters of children are capitalizing on the convenience and widespread use of technology to target victims for trafficking. Traffickers are aware that youth are active online and on mobile devices, and thus use social media and mobile apps to lure them in.
